Here's a record I ripped last week and didn't get round to posting yet. I have volume 1 to share as well
I'm not sure what's off beat about Duke ellington's well known hot and bothered or Johnny Dodd's bull fiddle blues and these are on a lot of reissuesin better sound quality, but there's some pretty obscure and good stuff on here! tell me what you think.

from collectors shelves - 1928-1931

Sorry for not posting in for ever!
I've started to upload 78s to youtube. you can see them at

ted weems and his orchestra vol. 3 Piccolo Pete (grannyphone)

sorry for the delay, folks.

Here are a group of fantastic electrical recordings by ted weems. Actually I got the volumes mixed up in my head and said that about volume 1, when a reader kindly pointed out to me that they weren't, so sorry about that.

now upon playing these files back I've noticed some clipping. I don't think this is my fault, though I do take everything over about 8000 hz from these vintage recordings.
Tell me if you notice it too and I'll play the record and see if it's present on there.
