hi all,
well it's been a while... for a lot of reasons, the main two being having to start with a new hard drive, and therefore dropbox had to re-upload everything..
but here I am and posts will be much, much more regular as I was just able to buy a few very nice 20s recordings!
a note about this one:
usually I take all the stuff over about 7000 hz from these records, as there wasn't a lot recorded above that frequency in those days and it reduces a lot of lp noise, however I have not been able to do that with this lp it being an early rip and already converted to mp3, so I didn't want to risk losing anything buy further compressing it/altering an already compressed file.
however it isn't that noisey a record, so it doesn't sound at all bad especially once it's on and you're used to it.
here's the track list:
01 - HARVEY BROOKS QUALITY FOUR - frankie and johnnie blues.mp3
02 - HARVEY BROOKS QUALITY FOUR - mistreating daddy.mp3
03 - KANSAS CITY FIVE - get yourself a monkey man.mp3
04 - KANSAS CITY FIVE - louisville blues.mp3
05 - thomas morris and his hot babies - red hot dan.mp3
06 - KANSAS CITY FIVE - get it fixed.mp3
07 - KANSAS CITY FIVE - dark gal blues.mp3
08 - SONNY CLAY ( THE CALIFORNIA POPPIES - you.mp3
09 - SONNY CLAY ( THE CALIFORNIA POPPIES - what a wonderful time.mp3

11 - FIVE MUSICAL BLACKBIRDS - black horse stomp.mp3
